For record & vinyl sellers

Your crate lives on Discogs.
Your buyers don't.

List the same pressing on Discogs, eBay, and Shopify from a single record — graded once, priced per channel. When eBay or Discogs reports the sale, it comes down everywhere else. No second tab, no spreadsheet, no copy shipped twice.

No card. Then keep Free with 25 active eBay listings — add Discogs and Shopify on a paid plan.

How it runs

Grade it once. Sell it everywhere.

Three steps replace the spreadsheet, the second browser tab, and the "did I already sell that?" pause before you ship.

01

Connect Discogs and eBay. No tokens to paste.

Instica reads the listings already sitting in your Discogs, eBay, and Shopify accounts, matches shared pressings into one inventory record, and flags duplicates rather than silently merging them.

Ninety seconds, no API keys, no copy-pasted tokens.

02

It sells on Discogs at 2am. It's off eBay before you wake up.

When a buyer checks out, stock decrements and the matching listings come down on your other connected channels — so the same copy never goes out twice and you never write the apology email.

Photograph the sleeve. Get a draft back.

Shoot the record where you found it and Instica drafts the title, condition, and description from the photo. Match the release against the Discogs catalog by barcode, artist, or title, set the grade, then review and publish.

Why we built this

We built Instica because a record sold twice in one weekend. The apology email at 11pm was the last one we’d send.

Built for the format

A record is not a generic SKU.

Pressing, matrix, and condition are what a buyer is actually paying for. They live on the item record itself — not buried in a description field you retype for every channel.

  • 01 Discogs catalog matching by barcode, artist, or title
  • 02 Standard Discogs grading — Mint through VG+ — for media and sleeve
  • 03 Cost basis attached at intake, so margin is known at sale
  • 04 A separate price per channel from one shared record

Common questions

What record sellers ask first.

Clear terms, a permanent Free fallback, and your inventory stays exportable.

Can I run Discogs and eBay from one inventory record?

Yes. One item record carries the pressing details, condition grade, cost basis, and a separate price per channel, then publishes to Discogs, eBay, and Shopify. Discogs and Shopify are available on a paid plan; the permanent Free plan covers eBay.

How fast does a sale delist my other channels?

Across production telemetry over the last 90 days, median sync time is 9.4 seconds and p95 is 18 seconds. That clock starts when Instica learns of the sale — an eBay notification, or a Discogs order picked up by the next sync pass — and covers updating the other channels; actual timing varies by marketplace and connection conditions.

Do you use the standard Discogs grading scale?

Yes — Mint, Near Mint, VG+ and the rest of the standard Discogs scale, graded separately for media and sleeve, with room for your own condition notes. Catalog matching searches the Discogs catalog by barcode, artist, or title so the release is matched precisely rather than typed by hand.

Can I price the same pressing differently on each channel?

Yes. Fee structures differ between Discogs, eBay, and Shopify, so each listing carries its own price while sharing one inventory record and one cost basis. Margin is calculated per sale against that cost basis.

What does it cost?

Start with 14 days of full Studio access, no credit card. After that your account falls back to the permanent Free plan — 25 active eBay listings, indefinitely. Operator is $19/mo billed annually ($24/mo month-to-month) and adds Discogs and Shopify.

Reading for a crate that lives in a catalogue

A record already exists in a database as one specific pressing, which makes matching it correctly more important than describing it well. These guides follow a record from the catalogue entry to the postage that decides its margin.

  1. 01
    Choosing Where to Sell

Discogs depth against eBay reach, and what each does to the same pressing.

  2. 02
    Item Specifics and Structured Data

Matrix numbers, labels and pressing fields — the data that makes a listing findable.

  3. 03
Writing Listing Titles and Keywords Buyers Search

How collectors search for a pressing, which is rarely how sellers title one.

  4. 04
    Buying Collections and Job Lots

Most crates arrive as somebody else’s collection. Buying one well.

  5. 05
    Cross-Listing Without Overselling

One copy in two catalogues is precisely where overselling begins.

  6. 06
    Shipping Costs and Postage Strategy

Mailers, weight bands, and why a double LP changes the arithmetic.
